What do Scouts do?

They typically meet once a week during school terms, and sometimes during school holidays. At meetings they develop their leadership and life skills. They learn Scouting skills like hiking, hill-walking, camping, knots, first aid, cooking and more.

The real adventure is in the outdoors – mountain hiking, water-based activities, mini-expeditions, camps from one to fourteen nights in length, community events that encourage active citizenship. Scouts love being in the outdoors.

Scout Activities

Our Scouts are always up to something depending on their interest!! They normally go on camps 5-6 times a year and some day trips besides.

They will also go on an Annual Camp in the summertime annually, usually about 10 days in length.

In between their camps, Scouts will do activities down in the hall, go on hikes, participate in events with the wider Group and much more. You can typically expect a Scout activity of some kind once a month.
