What do Beavers Do?

Our Beaver Colonies meet once a week during school terms. At  meetings they play team games and learn Scouting skills like hiking, camping, knots, first aid, cooking and more.

Beavers go on outdoor adventures – walks, treasure hunts, one or two night camps, litter-picking, parading on Saint Patrick’s Day, slumber parties in Scout Dens and more.

How often do beavers go on activities?

Our Beaver Colonies are very active. They normally go on overnights to local Scout Dens once or twice a year. All of this is done to prepare them for a big camp for two nights, normally in May or June.

In between their camps, Beavers will do activities down in the hall, go on hikes, participate in events with the wider Group and much more. You can typically expect a Beaver activity every 6 weeks.
