What Do Ventures Do?

Well, it’s up to them. Normally Ventures meet once weekly during school terms but a lot of their time is spent socialising and planning for the next adventures.

Ventures can get up to anything, mountain hiking, water-based activities, mini-expeditions, camps & expeditions from one night to ten nights in length, community service projects, hostel stays, and sometimes overseas trips. Venture Scouts love the social aspect of Scouting.

Venture Activities

Our Ventures are always up to something depending on their interest. They normally go on camps 5-6 times a year and some day trips besides. Ventures will often take on activities such as national events etc in smaller groups if they want to. 

They will also go on a Summer Expedition annually, usually about 14 days in length.

In between their camps, Ventures will do activities down in the hall, go on hikes, participate in events with the wider Group and much more. You can typically expect a Venture activity of some kind once a month.
